The war started when my oma Dykstra was 5 years of age. She lived just out of a small town in Holland. She helped on the family farm. Her father worked for the niehbours. Near the end of the war her father sold milk. She remembers the first Gurman solders walking down the road, and later the first candian tanks rolling down the highway. Also near the end of the lot of the northern cities were bombed leaving houses most with out water and electrical.
